Effective September 13, 2023, Corewell Health Laboratory will discontinue the Chlamydia Culture orderable. For patients 14 years of age and older, please order Chlamydia PCR.
• This specimen can be either a swab (genital, rectal, or throat) or a urine sample.

For patients that are under 14 years of age, a “Reference Miscellaneous Test” [LAB 848], must be ordered.

Beginning May 31st, 2023, the following Toxicology blood test’s reference range will be updated to reflect current best practices. Please refer to the Corewell Health Lab Test Directory for new reference ranges.

Effective February 28th, 2023, Vitamin D 25-Hydroxy Level (25-OH Vitamin D) [LAB535] will be replaced by 25-Hydroxyvitamin Level D2 and D3 [LAB1230925]. Send out testing for 25-Hydroxyvitamin D2 and D3, Serum [LAB1230428] to Mayo will be discontinued. The testing methodology will change from an immunoassay to liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.
The new test will include concentrations for
- 25-hydroxyvitamin D2
- 25-hydroxyvitamin D3
- 25-hydroxyvitamin D Total
