Effective Wednesday, August 17, 2022, the Coagulation Department at Spectrum Health Reference Laboratory (SHRL) will go-live with the Epic orderable APTT Direct Thrombin Inhibitor [LAB1230880].
This orderable is intended for patients on direct thrombin inhibitors (DTIs) which include argatroban, bivalirudin, and dabigatran. This test will not reflex to Unfractionated Heparin Level (UFH, [LAB3389]) if no endpoint is achieved.
