What Has Changed?
Effective immediately, the approved collection device for LAB1232015 (1232015) – Cortisol, LC/MS, Saliva is the Blue Top Salivette Cortisol Tube. The previously acceptable white top tube is no longer approved and will be rejected if received by the laboratory.
Action Required
- Discard or return any remaining white top saliva collection tubes
- Order the Blue Top Salivette Cortisol Tube using your standard supply order form
- Share this update with all staff involved in specimen collection to prevent delays or rejected specimens
