Test Updates

• Hemolytic Anemia Evaluation (LAB1230792): Important Note regarding draw times added

• Changes to HPV Reflex on PAP order:
  • HPV will no longer be run for a normal Pap result in patients aged 30 – 65 years when a provider orders HPV Reflex.  HPV will continue to be run for all Pap result for patients aged 30 years or greater when a provider orders Co-Testing.
  • HPV Options on Pap Order:
    • Co-Testing: HPV is always run for patients aged 30 years or greater, regardless of the Pap result.
    • HPV Reflex: HPV is only run if the Pap result is ASCUS or LSIL.
    • No HPV: HPV is not run.
  • If a provider wants an HPV done to follow up on an abnormal Pap smear for patients aged 21-29, they must order HPV High Risk Screen with HPV Genotype Reflex (LAB1231770) in addition to the Pap order.
  • Please ensure you update your ordering practices accordingly.
